Ellefson is a killer bassist ! just listen to the bas lines of Bad Omen or Five Magics ! It’s just pure art !
Mustaine is the greatest metal guitar player and composer of all time. So the two of them put together, it’s just for the best ! and we’re lucky to see this union again.
Th1rt3en is a brilliant awesome album. The best one since Cryptic Writings… no doubt about it.

But sorry, concerning the current lineup, though it’s an excellent one, I still prefer the Menza/Friedman era.

Welcome. Would’ve never thought it might’ve been posted. Contradicts mega-mythology. Please don’t get me wrong . . . David is a giant (or a giant-killer if you will). Heroically honest and honorable. Since back in the day the two David’s have been blood brothers and that kinda thing is for life. When they put their heads together talent virtually oozes out of their ears. Anyone with eyes can see they continually work very hard at what they do . . . and do very well. They demand respect and professionalism wherever they go.
And Dave is ultra down-to-earth and approachable. Hilarious when he wants to be and on top of all that, he must be the absolutely, most coolest MF on the planet. Offstage or on. Don’t let anyone tell otherwise. But I wouldn’t rile him if’n I were you. You could have a very bad day. Hence the string of bruised and broken souls of smart-ass interviewers, etc. that stretch into the horizon back over the years. By the way, sorry it’s so hard to get an opinion outta me.

Thought United Abominations was top notch-start to finish. Was absolutely not excited about Endgame, but I did have my hopes up, I guess.
’13′ is back to form. Dave sings and growls his way through thoroughly engaging music. But, sorry, Dave wrote the bass line for ‘Peace Sells’. In 1984 as Jr. started playing the song Dave jumped in and commented “I wrote that”. That night I heard live, close-up and in person–’Peace Sells’, ‘No More Mr Nice Guy’, ‘These Boots’, ‘Ain’t Superstitious’, and ‘Wake Up Dead’. And the music only for ‘Dawn Patrol’ & ‘Hangar 18′. Talk about being blown away! A week before I didn’t even know these guys were musicians to speak of. Wow. . . Oh, and the story about ‘Liar’ you’ve all heard? Pure fabrication. I heard it about a month later sang to my face with no music.
