LONG BRANCH RECORDS is a new SPV label imprint created by industry veteran Maria Ouellette. Artists like veteran band PRONG will join artists like THE INTERSPHERE, CHIMAIRA and MADINA LAKE in the label’s quest to build a home for today’s best in new and established rock and metal groundbreakers.

Heavy music innovators PRONG recently signed a worldwide recording contact with LONG BRANCH RECORDS/SPV. Founded in 1986 PRONG are considered to be pioneers of the American post-hardcore and post-metal scenes whose influence is still being felt today. The as yet untitled album will be released in Spring 2012.

PRONG frontman Tommy Victor commented on signing with SPV: “I feel like PRONG has come full circle. We have the same energy and excitement about our music that we did at the beginning of our career. With Long Branch SPV we’ve found people to work with who are very supportive of us and what PRONG has accomplished so far in our career.”

SPV A&R representative Maria Ouellette spoke about signing PRONG: “We’re extremely excited to welcome PRONG into the SPV/Long Branch Records fold! Tommy Victor’s musical innovation and influence is far-reaching and inspirational, and exactly what we’re about. We’re proud that we can be part of their next musical milestone!”

Another outstanding band signing to Long Branch Records is The Intersphere. The Intersphere’s new album “Hold on, Liberty!” will be out January 23rd (UK & EUROPE) / January 31st (USA/CAN). After playing over 350 live shows all over Europe incl. major festival appearances at Rock Am Ring and FM4 Frequency, THE INTERSPHERE have signed a worldwide deal with LONG BRANCH RECORDS.

“I’m extremely excited to welcome one of the most talented and upcoming German alternative bands into the SPV/Long Branch Records fold” says SPV product manager Manuel Schönfeld.

THE INTERSPHERE Band Statement: “We are very pleased to have found a partner who understands the vision and drive of our band. With the support of Long Branch Records and all of their worldwide partners we will do the next step out of the underground into a wider audience. We’re ready for action and looking forward to a successful relationship!”
