The ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL announced the METAL OF HONOR program, an awareness and fundraising effort focused on the needs and challenges of our active military, veterans and their families. The ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL believes strongly in honoring our country’s servicemen and women with these efforts as a way to say thank you for the services they provide on a day-to-day basis, overseas and on U.S. soil.
ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL producers John Reese and Kevin Lyman stated, “Giving back and showing gratitude to those that have sacrificed for all of us and those who continue to sacrifice is the message we want to spread.”
As a major part of the program this year, the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL will be making lawn tickets available that will have a direct impact on a charity in your local market! Beginning Friday, June 22 at 10am and continuing for 72 hours, a donation will be made to your local charity for each individual lawn ticket sold through the TEXT TO DONATE program! Text MAYHEM to 41518 to make a $5 donation to METAL OF HONOR and be entered to win a METAL OF HONOR Meet & Greet with Slipknot.
Additionally, as part of the 2012 METAL OF HONOR program, the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL is helping promote the goal of HIRING OUR HEROES. The METAL OF HONOR tent, located in the festival area, will have a local US Chamber of Commerce representative at each venue providing information on local companies actively seeking to hire veterans.
All military veterans attending the festival are invited to go to the METAL OF HONOR tent, located in the festival area, to obtain their METAL OF HONOR wristband. The METAL OF HONOR wristband will identify them as veterans for the crew, bands and fellow patrons. The METAL OF HONOR tent will provide information on the various ways the tour, sponsors and bands are showing their appreciation to them that day. Each veteran will receive a raffle ticket to win a personalized commemorative plaque to be presented to one of these hometown heroes, on the main stage, to thank them for their service and sacrifice.
