Grim Reaper bring their revamped NWOBHM to Brooklyn

Steve Grimmett’s Grim Reaper, the revamped version of ’80s British metal band Grim Reaper started their Norh American tour on June 10th at Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn New York, followed by a 2nd show at the same venue the following night.

Opening bands for the show was Iron Force and Fantom Warior. Original Grim Reaper guitarist Nick Bowcott who started the band in 1979 was suppose to play the show but broke his hand and could not perform.

The venue was packed with fans, some who were seeing the band for the first time as the band has not been to the US East Coast for over 25 years. The band performed songs from their 1980′s albums and forthcoming album From Hell. When the last song “See you in Hell” started, some fans could not control themselves and jumped on stage to sing along with the band.

Nightwish start world tour in NYC

Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish started their world tour at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on April 9th 2015, with Sabaton and Delain.
