Review

It’s a lot to digest 17 songs on first sitting, but “World On Fire is certainly worth a hard rocker’s hard-earned pay.

Nothing here is groundbreaking, mind you, but it is solid heavy duty rock, with the most memorable riffs being Guns N’ Roses-tinged ones, (the best one being the song “Shadow Life,” for instance).

Of course, every guitar lead is as energetic and explosive as Slash leads can be. And vocalist Myles Kennedy is an absolutely wonderful hard rock singer, on a Deep Purple level with the depth of a Chris Cornell and the high of Bruce Dickinson.
