Eddie Trunk gets respect from Rolling Stone

TV/radio host and author Eddie Trunk has recently been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine’s “The Best Characters On Television” for VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show. The long-time multi-media personality and champion of heavy metal fandom was recognized for his “endearingly deadly earnestness.” “To Trunk, an interview with Dee Snider is as serious as 60 Minutes talking to Henry Kissinger,” the magazine states.

Additionally, Trunk recently released his new book Eddie Trunk’s Essential Hard Rock And Heavy Metal (Abrams Image). This 240-page epitaph, complete with photos, anecdotes, playlists, and a foreword by Judas Priest’s Rob Halford, is a crucial addition to any headbanger’s library. Eddie takes pride in being a voice for the heavy metal fans. “As crazy as it sounds, they see me as their leader,” he told Rolling Stone. “I have a very strong belief about how this music has been marginalized…I want to be the Letterman of metal.”

Now in its 8th season, That Metal Show, co-hosted by Jim Florentine and Don Jamieson, is a haven for hard rock and heavy metal worship. Trunk & Co. interview legendary rock gods, highlight new releases, and revisit the music’s rich history. Shooting of season 9 takes place in October in Los Angeles.

Eddie is currently on a nationwide book tour and can also be heard on Eddie Trunk Live on Sirius/XM’s “The Boneyard Channel” and the FM-syndicated Eddie Trunk Rocks.
