Iced Earth continue webisodes of making their new album

Just what does it take to create an Iced Earth album? Check out the following exclusive webisodes for the answers (3 out of 5).

In the latest webisode (#3), studio wizard Jim Morris and Iced Earth leader Jon Schaffer share secrets to their success, including the biggest secret of all: “Stop being a pussy.” By the end of the segment, you’ll know what these two long-time friends laughed about to relieve the stress of creating Dystopia, Iced Earth’s 10th studio album.

On October 18th, Century Media Records will release Dystopia. Co-produced by longtime collaborator Jim Morris (Warrant, Trans-Siberian Orchestra) and Iced Earth founder/guitarist Jon Schaffer, the album features 12 brand new tracks. Two bonus tracks will also be recorded for inclusion on upcoming special editions of the album. The release of Dystopia will be followed by an extensive world tour.

Formed in Tampa, Florida, in 1984, by Jon Schaffer, Iced Earth has released 9 studio albums, one live album, two compilations, three boxed sets, and several DVDs. With worldwide sales in the millions, Iced Earth has earned a seat in the pantheon of America’s most successful heavy metal bands.

Iced Earth is: Jon Schaffer (rhythm, lead and acoustic guitars/backing vocals), Stu Block (lead vocals), Freddie Vidales (bass guitar/backing vocals), Troy Seele (lead guitar) and Brent Smedley (drums).
