Chicago metallers DaiTribe to record in October

Chicago metal act DaiTribe announce they will begin recording their first full length release in October. This still-untitled disc will be released by True Gemini Records in March, 2012. The follow-up to 2005’s direct to radio EP The Second Coming, it will be their first to feature recently announced vocalist, Rich Collins. The CD will be recorded at Farview Recording by Jason Walsh in St. Charles IL.

“We go into the studio at the beginning of October to record the new songs. It’s long over due and will be an almost therapeutic release… these songs deserve to be heard. Everything is shaping up very well and we’re eager for DaiTribe fans to hear them.”

Tristan Grigsby – guitars

Ricky Riccardo – bass

Michael Grigsby – drums

DaiTribe guitarist Tristan ‘1690’ Grigsby most recently joined forces to record a song a memorial song to late PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott. The collaboration included SHADOWS FALL drummer Jason Bittner, MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson, ex-JUDAS PRIEST/ICED EARTH and current BEYOND FEAR/YNGWIE MALMSTEEN singer Tim “Ripper” Owens. Entitled “Leave It Alone”, the track was recorded and mixed in Chicago at Farview Recording by Jason Walsh, with additional tracks recorded at Saltmine studios in Phoenix, Az and Galahad in Cleveland. All proceeds from the song went to the Little Kids Rock school program.
