The band have been nominated for the 2012 Edmonton Music Awards: nods for “Rock Album Of The Year,” as well as the “People’s Choice” Award.

Canadian rockers Killinger have been doubly honored with two nominations for the 2012 Edmonton Music Awards. The hard-rocking quartet has received nods for “Rock Album Of The Year,” as well as the “People’s Choice” Award, the latter being determined by online fan voting. The Edmonton Music Awards will take place on Saturday, April 28th at The Royal Alberta Museum. For more information, please visit: www.edmontonmusicawards.com.

In other Killinger news, the band’s track “We Are Here” will be featured in upcoming FOX Sports Network programming in multiple markets nationwide for baseball season. Killinger has also been confirmed to play the 8th Annual Boonstock Music & Arts Festival in Gibbons, Alberta on June 30th alongside such heavyweights as Korn, Puddle Of Mudd and Volbeat. For more information on Boonstock, please visit: www.boonstock.ca. Additional North American Killinger tour dates will be announced shortly.

Killinger’s self-titled full-length debut was released last year in North America via Sunmor Entertainment, distributed by BDG. BDG is distributed by RED Distribution, LLC (a division of Sony Music Entertainment). The album features a contemporary rock sound which incorporates the best elements of 80s hard rock and metal. Produced by Rick Plester (Michael Schenker, George Lynch) and mixed by Mike Fraser (Aerosmith, AC/DC, Metallica), KILLINGER contains catchy melodies, big guitar riffs and a guest appearance by guitar great George Lynch.

With an over-the-top live show, the band has already established a solid fanbase in Western Canada, touring with the likes of Lynch Mob. Of Killinger, Exclaim! best describes their sound as “gritty, double-time rock with soaring vocals and dive-bomb guitar solos…”, while The Belleville Intelligencer avows, “Laden with crunching guitars, thunderous drums and old-school lyrics…the sound is huge like the classic arena rock albums of the 1980s…” Click here to witness the sexy video for the track “Holding On”. Killinger is: frontman Dave Williams, lead guitarist Kevin Morin, bassist Justin Craig and drummer Chris Challice. For more information, please visit: www.killingerrocks.com.

  1. “Kick Ass” is Killinger’s erotic video (i.e.their ode to orgy). You boys know how to move my hips! The track is driven by Chris Challice’s venturous power drumming which gets the bed springs shakin’ in tandem with the polygraph.

Rocked out on the live footage from FLA. (I’m surprised shark week didn’t take a healthy bit outta’ your’ gyratin’ asses!) Fantastic Live show! And Dave Williams knocked it out of the park with the 4:11 vocal on the “Never Change” track at HOB Orlando Encore after Encore.after Encore..

Lead guitarist Kevin Morin, bassist Justin Craig will be featured in my piece. Thank you both for your patience, I need to run the tracks through a few more times. My soft spot for bassist is why I spend the most time with that istrument. Mr.Morin your effort is not wasted on me. Rock on. I shall return,
