Aerosmith have a special party planned for their beloved hometown of Boston on the day before Election Day, Monday, November 5.
STEVEN TYLER (vocals), JOE PERRY (guitar), BRAD WHITFORD (guitar), TOM HAMILTON (bass) and JOEY KRAMER (drums) will show up at noon and rock out live right on the streets at a location that is special to them: 1325 Commonwealth Avenue, where the band lived in an apartment from 1970-1972 and where they wrote their early classic hits. The news is all over the TV, radio and Internet, with the event on track to be one of the biggest events ever in Boston. TV crews are already on the streets of Commonwealth Ave interviewing people about the event that is expected to draw thousands. The band will be introduced by New England Patriots President Jonathan Kraft and a couple of Patriots captains, along with a group of Patriots cheerleaders.
The band has a good reason to celebrate: their new album MUSIC FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION! (Columbia Records) is out November 6. And they got a message, too: people, get out and vote! For whomever you like. Just do it. Be a “Freedom Fighter,” to quote a song title from the new album.
“Anyone who votes is a Freedom Fighter,” says JOE PERRY.
The Boston event will be exclusively broadcast live on AXS TV, the premier destination for the biggest events and the hottest artists in live music. Check local listings for AXS TV at www.axs.tv/subscribe.
Aerosmith will then take the party on the road as they’re set to return for the second leg of The Global Warming Tour launching November 8. The month-long, 14-city arena tour will bring them and support act Cheap Trick to New York City (Madison Square Garden), Los Angeles (Staples Center) and Las Vegas (MGM Grand Garden Arena), among other cities. Expect nothing less than killer sets and prisoners will most certainly be taken.
