Danish rockers Volbeat brought their show to the Mid Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, New York on May 6, 2014 with support by Trivium and Digital Summer (from Phoenix, Arizona). During Digital Summer’s set, singer Kyle Winterstein announced that their drummer Austin Rios was 13 years old. Rios’ mom made an appearance onstage during their six song set.

Florida metallers Trivium hit the stage next with drum tech Mat Madiro replacing Nick Augusto. The band rocked the Poughkeepsie crowd with songs from their extensive discography and latest record, Vengeance Falls .

Volbeat’s set started off with “Doc Holliday” off their new album Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies. During their performance Trivium came onstage to sing “Evelyn” with the band. A couple songs later Misfits bassist Jerry Only — dressed up in his stage outfit — surprised the crowd by coming out to sing the Misfits song “Angelfuck” with Trivium.
