Tour to follow new album by Porcupine Tree’s Steven Wilson

Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree, Blackfield) is releasing his new solo album, Grace For Drowning, on September 27th via Kscope. In addition, Steven has booked his first ever solo tour which hits North America in November.

Steven Wilson as the founder /frontman of Brit art-rock pioneers Porcupine Tree, but you probably didn’t know that he is arguably the most prolific, hardest-working man in rock. Wilson is:

  • The founder and frontman of Porcupine Tree, Blackfield, No-Man, I.E.M, and Bass Communion
  • A two-time Grammy nominee for “Best Surround Album”
  • A solo recording artist whose new album Grace for Drowning is the first-ever rock album released as a Blu-Ray video disc
  • A trailblazer in high-fidelity sound mixing who has remixed King Crimson’s back catalogue, Jethro Tull’s Aqualung, and Caravan’s In The Land of Grey and Pink in 5.1 surround
  • A producer who has worked on new material by Yoko Ono, Opeth, Marillon, and Anathema, among others
  • The subject of the 2010 documentary Insurgentes by Lasse Hoile, about Wilson’s effort to make his 2008 album of the same name
  • A published author, with pieces in Billboard, The New York Times, Electronic Musician, Sound & Vision, Rolling Stone Mexico, Classic Rock and other outlets.

Wilson’s Grace for Drowning comes as a double album September 27th on Kscope Records, in Blu-Ray, CD, and vinyl formats. A limited run of special editions will also be available through Newbury Comics.
