Lacuna Coil confirmed as support on Gigantour

Lacuna Coil has been confirmed as support on Megadeth’s critically-acclaimed Gigantour, a package tour which also will feature Motorhead and Volbeat. The North American tour is slated to kick off in early 2012, with dates running from late January through to early March. Gigantour was founded by Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine in 2005 and Lacuna Coil was hand-picked by Mustaine himself for this bill.

Lacuna Coil’s forthcoming album DARK ADRENALINE is scheduled for release in North America on January 24th, 2012 via Century Media Records. Produced by the acclaimed Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Good Charlotte, Bullet For My Valentine), DARK ADRENALINE promises to deliver the melodic, sensual, metallic rush for which the band has come to be known.

For more than a decade, Italy’s Lacuna Coil has been a fixture in the international metal scene, gracing the covers of countless hard rock and metal publications worldwide. With five full-length albums, two EPs, various singles and a DVD to their credit, the band has sold upwards of 800,000 units in the United States alone and is well-established on Active Rock radio. Melding seductive vocals with a modern, electronica-inspired metal sound, Lacuna Coil has wowed audiences as headliners the world over, and as featured guests on Ozzfest, as well as on all of the major European festivals such as Download and Graspop. Lacuna Coil, whose moniker translates to “empty spiral’ in English, is: Cristina Scabbia (female vocals), Andrea Ferro (male vocals), Cristiano Migliore (guitar), Marco Biazzi (guitar), Marco Coti Zelati (bass) and Cristiano Mozzati (drums/percussion).
